ATLANTA, GA, April 15, 2022 – Miller Zell has implemented a plan to reduce landfill waste from its production facility by 50 percent by 2030.

The goal is to reduce landfill waste by at least five percent annually, building traction each year, until the goal is reached. This will involve transitioning current waste production into an alternative recycling stream, while also identifying opportunities to repurpose packaging that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

“Reducing landfill waste is fundamental to sustainable practices and protecting our environment,” Miller Zell CEO Chip Miller said. “A plan to reduce, reuse and recycle is good for our planet and is a shared goal with our associates and clients.”

Miller Zell’s sustainability coordinator and committee will assess efforts quarterly and review progress toward annual goals. The company will also aggressively pursue new opportunities for reduction.

A few of Miller Zell’s existing sustainable practices include a comprehensive recycling program of the company’s raw materials and responsible material sourcing to actively offset its carbon footprint. We also use recrylic materials — recycled acrylic that is itself then recyclable— as part of our efforts to utilize sustainable materials.
