Our Strategy and Planning Team consists of experts from a variety of retail, consumer, apparel, and QSR disciplines with expertise in research, consulting, business analysis, and project planning. We analyze a client's existing research and knowledge base for each project and focus on researching and evaluating the business needs from shopper, brand, and operational perspectives. We recommend additional research only if it is truly needed. We deliver a comprehensive Strategy & Planning Document that details objectives and outlines the processes for each new project. This document's foundation is built by visiting stores, talking to associates, observing and interviewing shoppers, identifying best practices, and uncovering financial and operational parameters. We also develop shopper insights based on primary research generated through shop-alongs, in-store videography, eye-tracking, focus groups, intercepts, and prototype testing. Our strategy work builds a bridge from research to retail design and brand expression Additionally we have access to the entire Miller Zell infrastructure. From creative through logistics we are able to tap the expertise needed to ensure each phase of a project is aligned with client business objectives. This access gives us the ability to track ,assess, manage the project throughout the lifecycle. We also invest in our own primary research about shoppers and consumers as part of a continuous learning process. We currently generate four to six independent studies per year to understand more about shopper attitudes and behaviors related to such topics as the in-store experience, in-store communications, green and sustainability, queuing behaviors, and private brand evolution.
