Chip Miller to be Honored as One of Atlanta’s “Most Admired CEOs”

ATLANTA, Aug 19, 2019 – Miller Zell’s Chip Miller will be honored as one of "2019’s Most Admired CEOs” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle on Thursday at The Fairmont.

Chip will be among 44 executives cited in 22 categories. His honor came in the “Family Owned Businesses” category.

The award celebrates CEOs with “a strong record of innovation in their field, outstanding financial performance, a commitment to quality, a strong vision, a commitment to diversity in the workplace and contributions to the metro community.”

Under Chip’s leadership Miller Zell more than doubled sales from 2014 through 2018. During the same period, profitability increased by more than 10-fold.

In 2016, with Chip’s leadership, Miller Zell relocated its headquarters, a move that consolidated five locations into a single, campus-like environment that improved the associate experience. The updated, modern building includes an onsite cafeteria, a fully equipped gym and cultivated walking trails.

Chip also led the push for Miller Zell to incorporate sustainability and community service into its very core.

Miller Zell is one of just 58 companies in the nation with certifiably sustainable print facilities. Further, in 2018, we installed a solar array on the roof of our corporate office that produces 1,470,000 kWh of energy per year, offsetting our non-renewable energy use by nearly one-half and reducing our carbon footprint by 1,206 tons annually.

Our strong corporate culture also prioritizes giving back to our community. Miller Zell actively supports charities and causes that are important to our associates.

With Chip often leading the charge and participating, Miller Zell Charities Foundation and our associates are significantly involved in raising money for breast cancer and Alzheimer’s research and sponsor deserving organizations like the Special Olympics, the Lupus Foundation, Bankhead Boys Association and Wellspring Living. Each year, we host an Annual Charity Golf Classic.
