ATLANTA, GA, April 2, 2021 – Miller Zell is honored to announce that CEO Chip Miller recently joined the Board of Directors for the Special Olympics of Georgia.
Special Olympics Georgia was founded in 1970 and serves more than 26,620 athletes with intellectual disabilities in over 180 programs in 121 counties.
Its mission “is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.”
Miller has been a frequent Special Olympics volunteer through the years.
“The Special Olympics is an outstanding organization that not only brings joy to its competitive athletes, but it also brings joy to those who get to witness these exciting and fun events,” Miller said. “I am honored to serve this organization and its thousands of athletes in our state and nationwide.”
The Special Olympics of Georgia’s next event is a State Horse Show on May 28 – 29 at Wills Park Equestrian Center in Alpharetta. Go here for more information.
