TD Bank wanted to distinguish a new bank branch near Boston’s iconic Fenway Park and pay tribute to the Emerald Necklace park system in which the branch was nestled. They asked Miller Zell to transform a 50-foot wall into an artistic and informative focal point that would engage customers.
Partnering with ID3 Group and using only sustainable materials, Miller Zell designed a seamless, modular, multi-paneled map of the area made of Baltic birch that highlighted greenways, waterways, and topography. The wall included contoured layers, and organic lichen was used to represent green spaces.
The branch opened in August of 2018, and TD was thrilled with an artistic creation that aesthetically celebrated the area while also being on-brand and communicating TD’s commitment to Boston. Miller Zell included supporting graphics that informed customers about the Necklace and its origins.
