THE CHALLENGE

Weight Watchers International realized that a retail makeover of their weight centers was essential for attracting and retaining members. Existing locations were nondescript, exuding little warmth and lacking privacy — qualities that alienated members from embracing the centers as a source for support and encouragement. Miller Zell sought to create a new center exeprience that engages and inspires members to make commited lifestyle changes.

THE RESULT

The new center design features a fresh and relaxed palette of color and light wood finishes to create a welcoming atmosphere. Strategic placement of fixtures, furniture and large screens help define separate zones for retail, group meetings and private weigh-in consultation. Mobile display units allow for further personalization with blackboard messaging and flexible product merchandising. The destination now conveys warmth, sophsitication and dignity.
